Doodle alternatives in 2026, compared.

The closest free Doodle alternative for choosing between dates is Rallly: no ads, no account to make or answer a poll, and no limit on polls. To find an hour when everyone is free, Crab Fit or When2meet suits better, and Calendly is mainly a booking page, a different job.

In short

Updated

Doodle’s free plan allows one group poll, with 10 time slots and ads, and asks for an account to finish it. For choosing between dates, Rallly is free, open source and ad-free, with no accounts; Framadate, run by a French non-profit, is free too. For finding an hour, Crab Fit and When2meet collect everyone’s free times across a range of hours, though When2meet has ads. A group chat poll handles a quick vote. Most free tools delete old polls in time, so note the result.

What’s the best free Doodle alternative?

For choosing a date, Rallly: free, open source, no ads, no account and no limit on polls. For finding an hour, Crab Fit. Both delete old events in time.

Is there a Doodle alternative with no ads?

Yes. Rallly and Framadate say they show none, and Crab Fit’s pages have none. When2meet is free, but says ads help cover some of its costs.

Picking a day and finding an hour are different jobs

Doodle does both, and the two are easy to mix up. A dinner or a trip needs a day that suits everyone: you offer a few dates and people say which they can make. A call needs an hour: people mark their free times on a grid, and the overlap shows. A booking page isn’t a poll at all.

What Doodle’s free plan gives you now

One group poll per account, up to 10 time slots in it, and ads for you and everyone who answers. You need an account to finish making the poll, and the people answering type a name and an email. Pro is $15 a month, or $11 a month billed yearly. Doodle’s free plan, explained has the details.

Picking a date

Free tools for choosing between dates

  • Rallly is the closest swap: free, open source, no ads, and no account to make a poll or vote. Options can be whole days or times, and people answer Yes, If need be or No. Free polls are deleted once every date has passed and nothing has happened for 30 days; Pro keeps them, for $10 a month or $72 a year per seat.
  • Framadate is run by Framasoft, a French non-profit, and is free with no ads. You make a poll without an account, but with your name and email. Each poll has a closing date, and once it expires you have 2 months to extend it before it’s deleted. You can host its code yourself.
  • A group chat poll works for a quick vote. In iMessage a poll holds up to 12 options, anyone can add one, and everyone needs iOS 26, macOS 26 or later to see it or vote. A vote is a tap, so there’s no Maybe. Messenger has polls in group chats too.

Finding an hour

Free tools for finding a time when everyone is free

  • Crab Fit is free and open source. Send the link, and a heat map shows when everyone is free. People give a name and an optional password. Events are deleted after 3 months without activity.
  • When2meet collects everyone’s free times too, for specific dates or days of the week, within an hour range you set. It’s free and asks for no contact details, but its About page says ads help cover some of its running costs.
  • LettuceMeet still runs. Its site describes it as “100% free, no account required,” and its page loads Google’s ad script.

Booking pages

Is Calendly a Doodle alternative?

Mostly for a different job. Calendly is a booking page: people pick an open slot on your calendar, which suits clients booking a call more than friends choosing a weekend. Its free plan has one event type, and every plan, Free included, has meeting polls: you offer up to 40 times and the group votes, which is as close as Calendly comes to Doodle. Standard is $12 a seat a month, or $10 a seat a month billed yearly.

One more option

Where Date Poll fits

Date Poll is ours, and it isn’t free: it comes with implements, $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year for every tool, with no ads. The people you ask tap their name and answer Yes, Maybe or No for each date, with no account and no email. A poll holds up to 30 dates or date ranges and 100 names, and you can keep 200 polls, which stay on your account. If you stop paying, they stay open to view and export but stop taking answers.

It picks days and date ranges, like a weekend (up to 30 days each), not hours, so for a meeting time Crab Fit, When2meet or Rallly’s time options do more. Rallly does more for free, and it’s open source. Date Poll helps most with a trip: once you pick the date, Trip Split can start the trip with the poll’s name, the dates and the people who said Yes or Maybe, each ticked so you can untick anyone.

Questions

Questions people ask.

Short answers, in plain words. Something missing? Ask Support and we’ll add it here.

Is there a Doodle alternative where nobody needs an account or an email?
Crab Fit and When2meet. Crab Fit asks for a name and an optional password, and When2meet for no contact details, though it shows ads. Rallly needs no account, but suggests an email so people can edit their answer later.
Can I use an iMessage or Messenger poll to pick a date?
Yes, for a quick vote, but there’s no Maybe. An iMessage poll holds up to 12 options. In Messenger, people can add options and change their vote.
Is there a Doodle alternative that works with Outlook?
For finding an hour, yes. Crab Fit can sync with Outlook Calendar, and LettuceMeet can connect an Outlook calendar if you sign up.
