About this tool
Pick a category, choose two units and type a value. The result updates as you type, rounded to a sensible number of digits, and every other unit in the category is listed underneath so you can compare at a glance.
Seven categories are covered: length, mass, temperature, volume, area, speed and data storage. Temperature handles the offsets between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin correctly, and data storage tells decimal units (MB) apart from binary ones (MiB).
The converter runs entirely in your browser. Once opened it keeps working without a connection, and it remembers the category and units you used last, on this device and on your other devices while you are signed in.

How to install
Installing adds Unit Converter to your home screen as its own app. The prompt with the exact steps for your device appears inside the app.
- iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open the app, tap the Share button, choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add. The name and icon are prefilled.
- Android (Chrome)
- Open the app and tap the Install button shown inside it. You can also open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Desktop (Chrome and Edge)
- Open the app and click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, then confirm.
